Peripartum Cardiomyopathy
摘要
Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is a form of systolic heart failure (HF) with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction affecting women during last trimester of pregnancy or in the first 5 to 6 months of the postpartum period. Delays in diagnosis may occur as signs, and symptoms of PPCM can mimic normal findings of late pregnancy and peripartum period. Although some women may have mild disease and complete recovery, others experience significant morbidity and mortality.
