This chapter analyzes the 2030 Security Model developed by the Spanish government, designed to address contemporary security challenges through a comprehensive framework. The model focuses on three key areas: Securing the Territory, Protecting Coexistence, and Generating Public Value, each tackling specific challenges related to territorial integrity, social cohesion, and institutional resilienceResilience. This research employs a qualitative methodology, using discourse analysis and the review of official documents and strategic frameworks issued by the Ministry of the Interior, to provide a deeper understanding of the model’s theoretical foundations, operational implementation, and its impact on Spanish security policies. The analysis highlights the alignment of Spain’s policies with international standards, particularly within the European Union’s civil protection frameworks and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The study explores how the Model enhances resilienceResilience, addresses demographic and environmental challenges, and strengthens civil protection mechanisms. By examining the model’s practical application, this chapter contributes to the academic discourse on security governance, offering insights into how Spain has adapted its policies to emerging challenges while maintaining commitment to democratic values and global cooperation. Ultimately, the 2030 Security Model represents a forward-thinking approach to national security integrating technological innovation, social resilience, and environmental protection.
