Interpretation of Lung Lesions
摘要
There are several diseases (Garg et al., Pol J Radiol 84:e205–e213, 2019) which cast abnormal shadows in the chest. They may resemble one another radiologically as well as in a CT scan. It is therefore very important to know the clinical background of the referred patient. The clinician should provide a reason for requesting a particular investigation. It is also the duty of everyone responsible for performing and reporting the investigation to find out the reason for requesting the investigation. This way, not only can the study be tailored to fulfil the requirement of the case but one can also suggest an alternative and a more appropriate step in arriving at the diagnosis.
