The Small Bowel
摘要
The small intestine forms the longest segment of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It elongates with age, reaching a length of approximately 22 feet in an adult. In this chapter, the reader will be introduced to the anatomy and conventional radiologic techniques for the evaluation of the small bowel loops. The reader will also be introduced to common pathological conditions affecting the small bowel using images from barium studies and CT scans.
