Analysis of Industrial Collaborative Transfer in Urban Agglomerations Based on Electricity Consumption Data: A Case Study of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region

Against the backdrop of global economic integration, coordinated regional economic development has become an essential component of national development strategies. As a core area of economic growth in China, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region’s industrial synergy and transitions play a crucial role in enhancing regional competitiveness and achieving sustainable development. The synergy effect and resource allocation efficiency among industries are influenced by multiple factors, including policy environment, market demand, and technological progress. Electricity consumption, as a key indicator of industrial development, reflects the actual industrial activity and its interrelations. Based on electricity consumption data, this study constructs a gravity model and applies social network analysis to thoroughly investigate the synergy and dynamic transitions between the new energy vehicle and power battery industries in the BTH region. The results reveal that electricity consumption data not only unveils the synergistic relationships between industries but also reflects the spatial characteristics of industrial transitions, providing data support and theoretical foundations for policy-making. This research offers a new perspective for regional economic planning, facilitating the coordinated development and optimal resource allocation of industries in the BTH region.
