Study on Military Combat Training Using Head-Mounted Devices Through Mixed Reality
摘要
Mixed reality, a technology that combines virtual and augmented reality, provides a novel digital world in which real and virtual elements smoothly interact. This technology is becoming increasingly important in military combat training as it improves immersion and realism. However, there is a gap in understanding its complete impact. The goal of this study is to evaluate the potential of mixed reality simulations for improving military training. A mixed-methods study design was used, with 15 participants (8 males and 7 females) aged between 19 and 30 years old, separated into two groups. The results showed that virtual training and gaming improved participants’ real-world reactions. This research is in its early stages, emphasising the need for more investigation. Mixed reality simulations have the potential to transform military training, but further research is required.
