Pranic Healing is a comprehensive energy healing modality that has gained significant attention in recent years. It utilizes energy, or prana, to accelerate the body’s inborn ability to heal itself, which has been implemented by thousands across the world till now. It is based on old esoteric healing methods as well as current knowledge of energy and the chakra system. However, there is some reluctance to adopt Pranic Healing, as it is a relatively new and unfamiliar modality which is its base upon lack of scientific evidence, limited regulation and standardization, fear of exploitation and other misconceptions. Pranic Healing proves to be a catalyst to western medicine and is gaining recognition worldwide. Advocates of Pranic Healing believe that this noninvasive technique can help in reducing anxiety, emotional imbalances and other severe ailments through self-healing with a holistic approach. The objective of the study conducted was to identify the issues faced during Pranic Healing and come up with a human-centered design approach. The study was conducted involving methods like contextual inquiry, stakeholder interviews to identify problem areas, competitive analysis, and Kano survey to finalize features. According to the results of the study, there seemed to be a need for an intervention that addresses the demand for trust. This caused the notion of using haptic technology to provide a more immersive and engaging experience. Haptic technology provides physical feedback to the patients, thus creating a sense of presence and realism which balances both the technological and human-centered aspects.
