The needy people face challenges in acquiring basic requirements such as food, clothes, books, etc. to sustain a day-to-day life. Many people in Indian society would like to contribute and help by sharing their used products and leftover food on a daily basis. A few mobile applications are available to donate used items to the needy; however, these applications do not have sufficient features to provide a smooth donating operation. This study aims to design and develop a mobile application for the underprivileged. It also emphasizes the importance of building trust and transparency in the donation process, ultimately fostering a sense of social responsibility among users. Furthermore, it also focuses on designing a system for donating leftovers to needy people. This study begins by identifying the challenges faced by potential donors when attempting to make contributions, including complex donation processes, uncertainty about the impact of their donations, and security concerns. In this paper, we conducted a field survey and structured interviews with needy people and donors to understand their pain points and motivations. Based on the field research, we identify the user’s interventions in the system and create a smooth flow for tasks such as donating, receiving, and recording information. This mobile application will provide an experience of giving and expressing care and concern for needy people.
