Application of Instructional Ergonomic in Designing Effective Comic Textbook for Regional School Education

Use of comic textbook in schools is becoming popular as the combination of text and illustration makes the readers interesting and captivating. The educational institutes have incorporated the idea of developing resourceful contents. The study aims to develop a regional-based comic textbook that has the native representations and examine the student’s interest and motivation. Building on the framework of the Addie model, the examination was conducted through a survey in Assam, India. Data was collected and analyzed, and it was found that the participating students enjoyed the regional-based comic textbook and the overall content delivery was found to be effective. The research narrowed down the already available forms of comic textbook by implementing new concepts and design approaches which makes the content more emphatic and provides a sense of fulfillment resulting in better communication.
