Rotating detonation engine (RDE) has been developed since around 2000 and recently launched into space. However, the study on RDE is in the fundamental stage for a practical level. One of the factors for evaluating RDE performance is the “pressure gain (PG)” of the engine. So far, the PG of RDEs is less than 1 both experimentally and numerically. The present study will determine what we should do to improve PG value for RDE. Some of the results show that the initial pressure ratio between the inlet cross-section area and the outlet one has a strong effect on pressure gain. We found out that the effect of the number of injectors is one of such factors to influence PG.

摘要
