Audio Signal Processing-Based Fetal Health Monitoring
摘要
Getting pregnant is a matter of great pleasure for women, but the challenge is the healthy delivery of the fetus, as various factors affect fetal health. Present technology for this fetal diagnosis is ultrasonography, which is costlier and not portable. Most of the tribal women in India are unable to avail the ultrasonography tests. An audio signal processing-based fetal and infant health monitoring system and a cloud-based portable and self-operable Doppler device have been proposed which can be useful for frequent monitoring at home. This device can play an important role in hilly/remote tribal area. The various fetal sounds can be processed using the proposed device to monitor fetal health. In this report, the simulation samples are created by processing various fetal sounds of a healthy fetus and the first cry of a healthy infant using Python-Think DSP signal processing library.
