摘要

The rise in the vehicle industry has escalated exhaust emissions, deteriorating air quality and leading to various health and environmental problems. With stringent emission regulations and depleting fossil fuel reserves, alternative fuels have become essential. In this research, Alexandrian laurel seed oil biodiesel and ethanol were blended with diesel fuel, and Al2O3 nanoparticles were used as fuel additives. These prepared fuel blends were tested under different loads. To ensure uniform suspension of nanoparticles and stability of the fuel blend, a surfactant was added. The study findings revealed that incorporating of Al2O3 nanoparticles significantly improved BTE and reduced BSFC. The study also revealed that the nanoparticles present in the fuel blends significantly reduced exhaust emissions, such as UBHC, CO, NOx, and smoke. Overall, the inclusion of Al2O3 nano-additives in the ternary blend demonstrated improved engine working characteristics.
