This paper presents a new speed regulation approach using the Field Oriented Control method to generate inverter switching pulses for motor speed control. The proposed control approach is expertly designed based on a voltage control model to estimate the rotor flux from the stator’s voltages and currents of the induction motor. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach, various simulations were implemented in MATLAB/Simulink according to various operating conditions of the induction motor drive, including different speed settings at many loading conditions. The results have convincingly illustrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach for controlling the speed of induction motors.

摘要

This paper presents a new speed regulation approach using the Field Oriented Control method to generate inverter switching pulses for motor speed control. The proposed control approach is expertly designed based on a voltage control model to estimate the rotor flux from the stator’s voltages and currents of the induction motor. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach, various simulations were implemented in MATLAB/Simulink according to various operating conditions of the induction motor drive, including different speed settings at many loading conditions. The results have convincingly illustrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach for controlling the speed of induction motors.
