This paper address some of the most significant technical trends in the development of ocean space technology. It concerns possibilities and challenges related to utilization of ocean space to supple healthy and sustainable sea food proteins to a growing world population. As a result, several inventive solutions to increase capacity, sustainability and safety in ocean fish farming are being engineered and piloted. An outline of background for this industrial expansion followed by a description of the most common concepts being explored follows.
