Monopiles are widely used as foundations for offshore wind turbines (OWTs), with local scour significantly affecting their lateral responses. This study numerically investigates the lateral behavior of monopiles with local scour holes in non-homogenous clayed soils. A finite element model is first established and validated against existing field tests. The model is then extended to evaluate lateral responses under varying soil properties, foundation geometries, and scour geometries. The findings offer valuable insights for monopile design in offshore engineering.
