Electronic waste or E-waste is the reference to discarded electronic devices or equipment or their constituents. These often contain complex valuable materials like gold or hazardous substances like mercury which need to be recycled effectively. Here, the concept of circular economy, i.e. a reuse, repair, recycle economy is ideal. The beneficial effects of a circular economy are manifold. It minimizes waste, protects the environment, by increasing the life of materials. By promoting reuse, repair, and recycling, it minimizes the quantity of garbage transported to landfills, lowering methane emissions. Economically, it benefits society by lowering total demand for raw materials. In the current work, a group of individuals have been surveyed to examines the level of awareness among Delhi’s middle-class population, finding high familiarity with e-waste but lower understanding of the circular economy concept. Barriers to e-waste recycling include lack of convenient facilities, uncertainty about recycling methods, and perceived inconvenience. Motivators for recycling include environmental awareness and financial incentives. It develops a crucial understanding of how people can be more motivated to participate in recycling and embrace the new concept. It aids inconceptualising why the current population may dodge recycling or purchasing products which are a result of the circular approach.
