Introduction
摘要
The introductory chapter introduces mixed-use megaprojects as an increasingly prevalent form of urban development and establishes the analytical foundation for examining them throughout the book. A theoretical framework based on five key challenges associated with MMPs builds upon the existing body of research on large-scale urban projects, providing a comprehensive evaluative approach. Case study research is characterized as an empirical inquiry conducted within a real-world context, making it particularly suitable for urban landscape research due to its complexity, multidimensionality, and integration within a broader context. The aim of this approach is to apply a more practical and applied research perspective to what can otherwise appear as idealized studies of highly complex projects.
