Shiwan figure pottery sculptures are famous for their vivid images and simple, calm glaze colours, in which the application of glaze colours not only carries the symbolic meaning of regional culture, but is an important component of its aesthetic expression. This study takes the international advanced colour system - NCS colour system as the theoretical framework, uses the scientific collection method and calculation and analysis method to carry out on-site inspection and sample colour taking of Shiwan figure pottery sculptures, constructs the hue ring, and the colour gamut data statistics, etc., and converts the colours of Shiwan figure pottery sculptures into precise values, integrates the results of the colour measurements and investigations, and presents them in the form of a colour database. The results of colour measurement and survey are combined and presented in the form of a colour database. It aims to use more scientific methods to deepen the aesthetic expression and understanding of the glaze colour of Shiwan figures, to provide a new reference for the collection, appreciation, research and other fields to understand the value of colour in Shiwan ceramic figurines, as well as to provide new perspectives and methodological references for interdisciplinary fusion of traditional arts and crafts research on colour.
