The increase in the number of cars and usage of cars has created a shortage of available parking places in urban areas. In India number of vehicles rises constantly while the number of parking spaces does not pick up the pace as compared to the vehicles. These days, people spend the vast majority of their time scouring congested commercial centers and other heavily populated regions for parking spots. A considerable amount of traffic is produced by the roaming autos. Half of the vehicles in congested metropolitan roadways are circling in search of parking spaces. To maximize their use, it is essential to implement efficient technological solutions. In this study, smart parking technology that is based on Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) is presented. The technology uses CCTV cameras in the streets to identify vacant as well as occupied spaces and provides feedback to customers.
