Chaotic Maps and DNA Encoding-Based Image Encryption Approach
摘要
In the present study, a chaotic map, substitution-box (S-box) and DNA theory-based image encryption approach is presented. Due to its complex features, including pseudo-randomness and dependence to the initial values and control parameters, chaotic systems have been widely used in image cryptography. Chaotic maps are applied to construct a S-box in confusion stage. In diffusion stage of proposed encryption method, DNA encoding along with three DNA operations namely DNA addition, DNA subtraction, DNA exclusive-or (X-OR)-based approach is suggested. Initial conditions and control parameters of chaotic maps will be considered as a security key. This security key boosts the strength of proposed encryption approach. The adeptness of the proposed approach is justified by comparing with existing techniques in terms of evaluation matrices.
