While anthropology involves study of humans across time and space, anthropometry focuses on measurement of physical attributes of human body. When talking in perspective of defence personnel, anthropometry is required for optimized development of many products and services. For soldiers operating in harsh environments like high altitudes and forests, anthropometric data is of great importance in terms of design of equipment and uniform. Advanced technologies such as three-dimensional body scanning technology increases accuracy of data collection. Recent efforts include creating gender-specific protective gear, like the “PRABLA” (Prabla) full body protector for female riot control troops. Such gear is designed based on anthropometric data to ensure proper fit and ergonomic functionality. Such anthropometric-based design approaches are crucial in the defence sector, given the diverse and numerous population variations. Anthropometry-driven designs lead to more efficient and effective defence products, especially in varied and large populations. This method enhances survivability, mobility, and overall operational effectiveness of soldiers [1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 13–17, 20, 21].
