A significant paradigm shift in industries has been brought about by industry 4.0. It is propelled by groundbreaking technologies like automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), fuzzy logic, and IoT. Human capabilities and organizational infrastructure must be synchronized and improved to fully realize the promise of these technologies for industry 4.0 implementation. By utilizing organizational resources and human competencies to their fullest potential, this study tried to investigate the critical elements that assist industry 4.0 deployment. Looking at the past plentiful studies, the study revealed the major human competencies needed and investigating organizations’ role in preparing them ready with the right gears to do their jobs better. Distinct conceptual research works are available on human competencies and organization’s role in strengthening and implementing industry 4.0. But there is dearth in the combined approach.
