This study investigates how ward furniture affects the anxiety levels of geriatric inpatients in different types of healthcare facilities in Delhi, such as government, private, and NGO-based ones. The study emphasizes on ward infrastructure because older individuals are more sensitive to hospital associated anxiety, which severely impacts their health. The study adopts a cross-sectional design and collected quantitative data from 100 geriatric inpatients (aged 65 and above) in various Delhi-based healthcare facilities using a Likert Scale instrument. Key variables such as bed comfort, furniture sturdiness, and storage facilities were examined using Chi Square statistical tests. The findings indicate a significant correlation between bed comfort and reduced anxiety levels (χ2 = 11.600, df = 4, p = 0.021), along with the importance of sturdy furniture and ample storage facilities.

摘要
