Driving Manufacturing Excellence: Unleashing People Potential Through Process Refinement and Workforce Optimization
摘要
This case study focuses on a manufacturing problem concerning the Compression process in tablet/capsule production. The issue involved a deviation from the planned Compression output, resulting in a continuous decline in yield and significant financial losses. To identify the root causes, a brainstorming session was conducted, revealing two primary concerns: the lack of streamlined bin feed for blending and non-uniform blend feed for the Compression machine. The company decided to address the problem by refining the four key factors in production: Method, Machine, Material, and Manpower. Since Method and Machine were already optimized, the focus shifted to Manpower. This case study demonstrates the significance of aligning human resources with key processes, utilizing data-driven approaches, and fostering employee engagement to drive productivity and return on investment.
