Exploring the Efficacy of Cultural Documentaries in Informing and Preserving Heritage: A Case Study of Secret Shrines in Kamrup, Assam
摘要
Sacred shrines embody cultural heritage, spirituality, and historical significance. In the Kamrup District of Assam, numerous shrines attract daily devotees. A comprehensive primary research effort uncovered a notable deficiency in the awareness of tourists regarding the shrines situated in Kamrup Districts of Assam, India comprising both Kamrup Metropolitan District and Kamrup Rural District. To bridge this informational gap, an experiment was conducted through a meticulously crafted documentary centered around the revered Navagraha Temple in Guwahati, Assam, India; a time-honored monument of celestial bodies was developed. This documentary was subsequently presented to a select group of participants, and their feedback validates the effectiveness of such cultural documentaries in both informing audiences and safeguarding cultural heritage.
