Promoting Primary Healthcare Center Through Instructional Animation: A Case Study of Chengdi
摘要
In India, the healthcare system relies on Primary Health Centers (PHCs) to provide vital primary healthcare services to communities, ensuring accessibility, and affordability. Unfortunately, the PHC’s services have not effectively reached the rural population of Chengdi and neighboring villages in Barpeta (Assam), primarily due to a lack of awareness. This research paper proposes using instructional animation to enhance understanding among rural residents about PHC services. The aim is to bridge the gap by spreading awareness about government-provided benefits through animation execution. Two fold survey was conducted, initially with medical professionals and the rural population from Chengdi was done to determine the key information and finally to seek the feedback from the participants after showcasing the animation. Survey results revealed substantial potential in raising awareness among rural population and improving the current healthcare status of Assam and India as a whole. In the meantime, this project creates publication layout templates using Adobe After-Effects and Illustrator. This study followed the ADDIE approach, which has five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. As a result, this instructional animation will be able to increase rural Chengdi and nearby residents’ awareness of PHC benefits.
