Podcasts are an important inclusion in teaching and learning resources for both classroom and online teaching. The teaching of social work practice in health care requires development of empathy on the part of the student, which narratives in podcast episodes can help to highlight. A death, dying and bereavement module is used here as an example to illustrate how podcasts can be integrated into critical reflection and practice skills teaching.
