Three Activities to Foster Psychological Connection with Nature and Support Self-Care, Well-Being, and Sustainability
摘要
This chapter outlines three nature-based activities (gratitude in nature, a sit spot and nature journaling) that can be utilised to get students moving, foster experiential learning and to help students forge connections between theory and application. Specifically, the exercises in this chapter are designed to engage students with exploring the bi-directional relationships between the health and well-being of humans and our environment and to support students to consider their future work in a broader ecological context. These activities are particularly well suited to courses intended to increase awareness of people and environment interactions or building professional skills and developing self-care strategies that can assist students to navigate their studies and throughout their chosen career pathway.
