Interactive evolutionary design (IED) is an intelligent optimization and iterative design approach driven by user preferences. By incorporating real-time user feedback into the evolutionary process, IED is suitable for solving design problems involving implicit target decisions such as human feelings and aesthetics. With the increasing complexity of socio-technical issues, interdisciplinary and group collaboration has become a trend, and co-design has become a hot topic in design studies. However, current research on multi-actor collaboration in IED is relatively limited. How to design appropriate collaborative models at different stages of IED still needs to be studied. This paper constructs a framework for collaboration of multiple actors in IED from a co-design perspective. Combining existing research, this paper analyzes and discusses specific methods, focusing on the collaboration types, the advantages and disadvantages, and promising directions. Further, a preliminary approach is proposed to subsequent system testing and verification. At the theoretical level, this study supplements the structured model of multi-actor collaboration in IED research. At the practical application level, it provides preliminary ideas for the application of IED in solving complex system problems involving the needs of multiple stakeholders.
