This study examines how designers approach the initial research stage of their creative process, drawing parallels to scholarly literature reviews. Historically, designers primarily relied on physical books in their studios or libraries. However, recent decades have witnessed significant transformations driven by increased connectivity due to technology. These transformations have fostered a diverse global community of designers with versatile skills applicable across borders or cultural boundaries. Technology is key in enabling design research with greater efficiency and scope. While technology empowers designers to research, it also poses challenges, such as the risk of identity loss and over-reliance on convenience at the expense of quality. This study contributes to the discourse on interdisciplinary intersections within design practice, research methodology, and technological integration in the creative process. It seeks to advance our understanding of how designers navigate the ever-evolving technology-driven landscapes to inform their creative endeavors.

摘要
