This chapter first provides an overview of literature on migration motives, their classification and characteristics. It then uncovers a variety of pull and push factors that drive Chinese millionaire migrants to Australia based on the analyses of data collected from the interviews, focus groups and case studies. We find that there are several key motives for business immigrants, including their aspirations for an ideal living environment, favourable business prospects and the pursuit of dual-focus (destination and home country) approaches. This chapter also presents how the interviews, focuses groups and case studies were conducted using vignettes.
