Dakwah and the Commitment to Shared Values: The Case of PKS
摘要
This chapter will explore the presence of shared values in the PKS and the process by which they are infused. In the case of PKS, these two elements were positioned somewhat differently than they were in the PKB. The commitment to “enforce and spread dakwah” was a common principle that serves not just as a source of identity but also as a set of qualities and interpretations that govern the cadres’ behaviors and thoughts. These common values were transformed into a standard mechanism sufficient for maintaining the interpretation and the preservation of these values, at least in terms of a unified understanding. In such a circumstance, the party has a better chance of preventing and overcoming numerous threats to the party’s solidity.
