Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a centuries-old system of medicine that was established on the origin of reinstating yin-yang balance. The Bidens species has been used as a curative herb identified as guizhencao. This genus is documented in ancient Chinese books, e.g., The Bencao Gangmu, Oriental Materia Medica, Handbook of Chinese Medicinal Herbs, and Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold as a therapeutic herb. According to traditional Chinese medicine, its species has properties of curing inflammation, common cold, fever, bronchitis, sore throat, appendicitis, sputum removal, and treating cough and asthma. They are used in different medicnal preparations, i.e., Xian Feng Cao Tang, ITM Formulary, guizhencao, Gan Mao Qing, and etc. This chapter aims to assemble the data on utilizing the genus Bidens in the traditional Chinese medicine system.
