As concluded in Chap. 6 that agro-processing is integral to secondary agriculture, and that it should be adopted at all scales of the economy for pursuing a full-fledged bioeconomy policy, this chapter focuses on the medium- and large-scale enterprises. The deliberations revolve around various challenges and appropriate responses needed to address these with a view to promoting medium- and large-scale enterprises in the country. This book shall, however, not be taking forward the discussions on medium- and large-scale enterprises beyond the subjects covered in this chapter. Since the core purpose of this book is to stress on micro-enterprises and small-scale enterprises to some extent and facilitate broad basing of the income sources of the agricultural workers including farmers of the country, it deliberately leaves out further examination of medium- and large-scale enterprises after making a point that secondary agriculture in its comprehensiveness involves promoting all scales of encompassing micro, small, medium, and large enterprises using agri/bioresources.

摘要
