Typical food products other than animal-derived alternatives are becoming increasingly popular, creating an opportunity for the food industry. Furthermore, safety and labelinglabeling are needed. The labeling should be indelibly printed, painted, or affixed on the main panel with a common name and brand/trade name, with net contents in international symbols. In addition to that, food additivesadditives by name or International Numbering System (INS) number, instructions for storage/use if any, the name and address of the manufacturer, the packer, the batch number or code number or decipherable code marking, the date of expiry, a list of ingredients in descending order, and the food safety regulationssafety regulations of the country should be included in the label, which will be discussed in this chapter.
