This technical paper presents a comprehensive study aimed at understanding and mitigating musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) faced by material loading operators. Surveys were conducted to assess the operators’ experiences and gather necessary data. The research involves the use of rapid upper limb assessment (RULA) and rapid entire body assessment (REBA) tools to identify poor work postures leading to operator fatigue and injury risk. Ergonomic assessments were performed using Nawo Live software to analyze postures and quantify the risk factors associated with MSDs. The results demonstrate the high-risk nature of certain postures and the occurrence of MSDs among the operators. Based on the findings, corrective measures and training programs were suggested to improve working postures and enhance operator safety and productivity. This paper emphasizes the significance of proper ergonomic practices in material handling industries to reduce the occurrence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders.

摘要
