As mobile devices have become ubiquitous, there is a growing demand for technology-based applications that are specifically designed to aid the development of young children. These applications have the benefit of being engaging for children as they are interactive and responsive and also have the potential to aid the development of problem-solving skills. However, there are several design considerations which are needed for these applications to be successful. The applications are expected to be easy to use and navigate, thus allowing children to use them independently. This paper reports the development of an app to teach problem-solving skills and its usage in the classroom environment. It was observed that children were more engaged with application-based learning than the traditional methods. Also, the learning was more effective using the application.

摘要
