Digital Transformation in Motion: Investigating the Tech-Driven Aftermarket Potential of Gasoline Systems for Indian Passenger Cars
摘要
Digital transformation in the tech driven market in India comprises mainly of small cars which is majorly dominated by Maruti Suzuki followed by Hyundai and Tata. Maruti Suzuki has been present for 25 years now and is growing stronger each year, while Hyundai and Tata are into passenger car manufacturing for just over a decade and selling good numbers. With the advent of Innovation and technology, there are many new automobile companies that have entered Indian market different car models. The Indian car market scenario is improving each day. There are market leaders in automobile parts for more than 3 decades and still holds a very strong position in the Indian Automotive Market. It is a widely known for its Diesel Fuel Injection System, Spark Plugs, etc. It has presence is other system and parts as well and is steadily gaining market share, it is working on improvement plans to strengthen its position for other systems and products in India. The current study discusses the Digital Transformation in Motion and the study deals with Investigating the Tech-Driven Aftermarket Potential. In the Gasoline system we deal with all the parts which a normal gasoline/petrol car would use. Any car and its engine parts are subjected to wear and tear with day-to-day usage. These parts have a certain life and have to be replaced when they get repaired or worn out. We are looking at parts which need a changeover 4 years or 40,000 kms of running. The parts are critical and proper maintenance and repair ensures smooth working of the car. These parts are expensive and sensitive and the person installing them has to undergo a formal training before he can work with them. The study was carried around in Pune city across authorized service stations and multi-brand workshops. These workshops frequently use and replace these parts in the car on normal basis. India has the technological capabilities to develop products for many Indian cars and launch them in the market which would give them revenue and gain market share.
