Over the recent decade, cloud technology has become a subject of great interest for research as well as business. It leverages the power of Internet-based computing, information, data, and other resources sent to the user as per demand which is accessed through a computer or any IoT device. With the need of the hour, of relocating operations for remote compatibility; there has been a tectonic shift toward utilizing cloud-based solutions. For this to work seamlessly, the safety, essential infrastructure preservation, and data security for remote operation become critical. The major security concerns linked with cloud computing have been scrutinized And studied extensively in the available literature; the goal for this work is to review these research articles to identify the dangers, security risks and issues related to cloud computing. This review is focused on recent trends in the field and have reviewed articles found in digital libraries published since 2020. A pool of 25 relevant articles have been identified for this review from the hundreds available in the literature. This review has identified several key security concerns in availing a cloud computing service. The results of a thorough literature review showed that data leakage and manipulation were two of the most hotly contested subjects. Security concerns for the cloud computing environment include data intrusion and data storage.
