Reflecting on the Trans Crises in the Entrepreneurial World

The aim of this systematic review is to explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem bringing opportunities and constraints faced by transgender entrepreneurs. Bibliometric analysis and a systematic academic literature review combined to examine institutional, financial, and social constraints specifically affecting transgender entrepreneurs. Additionally, the digital platforms and niche markets creating opportunities for transgender entrepreneurship are explored through in-depth analysis of publications in Web of Sciences (WoS), Scopus, and Google Scholars. The findings are based on identified themes related to research phenomenon revealed that social stigma, discrimination, and lack of financial resources access cause significant challenge. They do benefit from changing the corporate environment as there is a more inclusive culture developed to acknowledge them. The underserved markets are accessed through their intersectional identities. This study is novel by enhancing the body of knowledge through contributing to the literature on LGBTQ+ entrepreneurship. The manuscript suggests recommendations about inclusive entrepreneurial environment to financial institutions, policymakers, and support organizations.
