Host-Induced Gene Expression in Endophytes
摘要
Endophytic fungi are asymptomatic organisms residing in the plant host tissues. Endophytic fungi play a vital role in the modulation of gene expression in host plants by enhancing plant growth, activation of defense mechanisms, resistance against biotic and abiotic stress, and secondary metabolite production. This chapter portrays the role of versatile endophytic fungi in inducing gene expression that involves mechanisms in the host plant growth and improvement.
