From the earliest days of civilization, agriculture has been the foundation of economic activity in Southeast Asia. Therefore, regional stability may be enhanced by addressing the agricultural ecosystem. The transition of payments from the barter system to UPI payments has transpired in India, and the country is eager to realize the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. These improvements, however, are only possible if all smallholder farmers increase their awareness about the benefits of sustainability credit score and contribute to their region’s economic prosperity. This research attempts to understand what affordances for the farmer give rise to adopting the correct technology. Farmers have been interviewed to gauge their derivative pride while trading in this region, their attitudes toward sustainable product design, and their enthusiasm to utilize CBDC. Therefore, it may be possible to develop recommendations for the launch of CBDC pilot projects throughout India and future considerations to make it more interoperable with other CBDCs, as regional policymakers and regulators deem suitable.
