Helium Storage and Transport
摘要
The storage and transportation of helium products are a vital link between the demand and supply sides of helium. Due to helium’s unique physical and chemical properties, such as low molecular weight, high permeability, difficulty in liquefaction, low latent heat of vaporization, and chemical inertness, helium storage and transportation equipment must meet extremely high standards, including high sealing and cleanliness, to ensure the efficient transport and stable supply of helium products. Helium is stored and transported as either gaseous helium or liquid helium, subject to its phase state. In terms of gaseous helium storage and transport, there are above-ground storage and underground storage, and the former can be further divided into high-pressure storage and low-pressure storage. With regard to liquid helium storage and transport, fixed tank containers are typically used for storage, while mobile ISO tank containers are employed for transportation. Liquid helium Dewar tanks can be used for both storage and transport.
