DeviceNetSim: DeviceNet Network Behavior Simulator Based on Protocol Feature and State Modeling
摘要
DeviceNet, as a communication connection with high efficiency, low cost and strong flexibility, has a wide range of applications. In order to simulate various behaviors of DeviceNet network in real situations, and realize network evaluation, diagnosis and predictive maintenance, a network behavior simulator based on protocol characteristics and state modeling is designed. Firstly, the data set is obtained by collecting DeviceNet network data. Then the DeviceNet object model is constructed according to the protocol, and the basis of programming is built. Furthermore, according to the data analysis, the protocol syntax feature table and protocol state location information table are constructed, and then field labels are generated, thus forming the simulation method of network behavior pattern. The simulator can simulate the tasks of establishing connection, data interaction, address assignment, error indication, device reset and so on in DeviceNet network. The accuracy and effectiveness of the simulator were verified by comparison with the actual DeviceNet network in the Rockwell Automation Lab.
