In recent years, the zero-waste objective has garnered significant attention from researchers and policymakers as a promising approach to alleviate the environmental impacts of construction projects and promote sustainability. However, managing construction and demolition waste (CDW) challenges decision-makers due to its multi-criteria and conflicting dimensions. In this context, various multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods have emerged as powerful tools. However, these methods could not be definitively ranked the best or worst as each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. This study aims to assist researchers and decision-makers in selecting the appropriate MCDM method to support decision-making in CDW management. Fifteen articles were selected to investigate the implementation of MCDM methods, focusing on the application area, criteria selection and weightings as well as the evaluation of alternative performance.
