Investigating Factors Affecting on Smart Port Practices in Container Terminals in Haiphong Port
摘要
Thanks to the growing process of the industrial revolution, smart ports have been widely established and their importance is indispensable in the global supply chain nowadays. Significantly, it is beneficial to solve problems in operations and management, for example, optimization and planning, navigation, real-time information integration, pollution, connectivity and resilience. It is practical that 80 percent of Vietnam’s import and export goods are bypassed by port systems; Haiphong Port, one of three main ports in Vietnam, has accounted for approximately a-fifth of national throughputs. The paper aims to investigate factors affecting smart port practices in container terminals in Haiphong Port. Through Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and 21 experts’ questionnaires, it is a statistic that the two most influential factors are objective usability and voluntariness as a result. Moreover, it is the author’s contribution to conceptual frameworks of smart port practices as well as a basement to develop in the next research.
