To handle the uncertainty that occurred in the mathematical formulation of many real life problems many researchers have considered those uncertain parameters as interval numbers. In recent years, the study on the matrices with interval parameters is a well-established problem. The objective of the current work is to investigate the theory of the matrices with interval parameters. Basic operations of matrices with interval parameters, its determinants, regularity condition and its inverse have been revisited with the help of a modified interval arithmetic on the set of real numbers, defined in this paper. A methodology is derived to compute the inverse of such matrix with interval parameters, and the proposed methodology is theoretically justified and illustrated through numerical examples.
