Improving the Transmission Performance to Minimizing the Latency in Mobile ad hoc Network
摘要
In general, protocols consider only the minimization of latency without addressing energy wastage, which typically results from idle listening or frequent switching of modules between active and sleep modes. Additionally, these protocols focus only on saturated systems, where resource underutilization may be prevalent. In this study, we aim to propose an energy-conscious scheduling system designed to achieve both low energy consumption and minimal latency in wireless networks. Furthermore, we relax the assumption of saturation to maintain performance efficiency, particularly when certain nodes have no data to transmit. Therefore, our goal is to specify transmission times, such as packet relay time and node transmission time. The simulation results clearly demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed protocol compared to existing methods, particularly in terms of energy usage and latency.
