This paper conducts a comprehensive investigation into the applicability of standards across five key professional domains in railway transportation: noise, braking, dynamics, traction, and current collection. It compares and analyzes the application of international, regional (e.g., European standards such as EN), and national standards, providing theoretical foundations and technical support for the standardization of transport equipment. In the field of noise, ISO 3095 and EN 15461 establish detailed requirements for measuring railway vehicle noise. For braking, standards like IEC 61133–2016 and EN 13452–2:2003 cover functional and performance criteria. In dynamics, standards such as UIC 518:2009, EN 14363, and GB/T 5599–2019 ensure safety and stability under various operational conditions. For traction, EN 61377 and GB 3318–2006 specify key testing methods for traction systems. Finally, in current collection, IEC 62499:2008 and GB/T 32592–2023 evaluate the interaction between pantographs and contact wires. The study highlights the essential role of these standards in ensuring safety, fostering innovation, and promoting industry compliance with international regulations.
