This paper studies a path planning problem of unmanned surface vehicle (USV) swarm for maritime search and rescue. Firstly, an environmental model suitable for the path planning of USV swarm is established by using a grid method. Secondly, A task area is divided by using a K-means algorithm to convert the coverage path planning problem into a traveling salesman problem, which is then solved using an artificial bee colony algorithm. A coverage path planning method for maritime search and rescue is designed based on the K-means algorithm, artificial bee colony algorithm, and the traveling salesman problem. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed coverage path planning algorithm.
